The Sueli Alves Gaewsky Cross Cultural Youth Experience Fund

Purpose

The purpose of this fund is to assist youth, ages 13-18, to have a cultural immersion experience to learn of and appreciate a culture different from their own.  Funds are available for individual youth, churches and church-related organizations (such as youth camps).  Cultural immersion experiences may occur internationally or within the same country of origin.

Restrictions

Grants will only be made to:

• United Church of Christ youth, churches or church organizations; or such entities that share the core values of the United Church of Christ; or youth, churches or church organizations from the Mennonite tradition.

Priorities

The following groups will receive priority consideration:

• Youth, Churches, and Church related organizations from the State of Maine;
• Youth, Churches, and Church related organizations from the State of New York;
• Latino, Latina youth
• LGBTQIA+ youth
