Authorized Ministers in Search

Authorized UCCNY ministers that wish to begin searching for settled positions in the United Church of Christ will start their search by building a Ministerial Profile.

The first step, though would be to contact your local Associate Conference Minister (ACM) to let them know that you are entering a time of professional transition.

Then, if you have not already done so, go to this website: 

https://engage.suran.com/ucc/s/login

Click on the button marked “REQUEST ACCOUNT: MINISTER

There, you will be prompted for information that will grant you log-in credentials.

Authorized UCCNY ministers in good standing will be granted log-in credentials.

Follow the instructions in the Profile Portal to begin building your profile.

You may connect with your local ACM at any time with questions or concerns about the Ministerial Profile process.

Finally, when your background check has come back, and the rest of your profile is complete, you can send your profile to be validated. This can take up to a week, depending on the time of year.

Tips: Try and keep your references timely. References over 3 years old 

may not be helpful.

         Consider including links to some of your best sermons.

         Consider including links to other projects or examples of your skill set.
