UCCNY Churches join in Womens Marches

On Saturday, January 21, millions of people around the world participated in the 2017 Women's March. The main event was in Washington, DC with "sister marches" in hundreds of other cities. New York Conference was represented by several churches, members, and authorized ministers.
The Riverside Church had about 70 members and friends in attendance at the NYC Women’s March and several more members made the trip to march in DC. This picture shows some staff members holding the church's banner at the march.
Journey UCC in Washington, DC
Rev. Dr. Jennifer Tiernan and Samuel Nunno, members of Journey UCC, Albany, attended the march in Washington, DC.
Judson Memorial in Washington, DC and New York
Judson Memorial Church, New York, took a bus from 56 people to the march in Washington. An additional group of 50 Judson members marched in NYC simultaneously.
Plymouth UCC in Syracuse
Members from Plymouth UCC in Syracuse gathered for the Syracuse-based sister march.
Broadway UCC in Washington, DC and New York
25 members and friends of Broadway UCC in Manhattan traveled to Washington, DC for the Women's March last weekend. A handful of parishioners also participated in the New York City march.
