Rev. Ann Kansfield Nominated as New York Times Person of the Year

The New York Times has named Rev. Ann Kansfield of Greenpoint Reformed Church in Brooklyn, NY as one of their nominees for Person of the Year. Rev. Kansfield is the first female, and openly gay, chaplain of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY). The Times ran a profile piece on her when she first began her FDNY chaplaincy and nominated her with this announcement on Tuesday.
